The Time Traveller - on 8 ply merino, silk and yak yarn

Time Traveller is a new colour destined for the New Collection coming later this month, but I had dyed this for myself only to discover there was not enough for the planned cardigan, so I'm putting this up before the collection is out. It will become a dyed to order colour on this base.

The colour on this base is a soft petrol blue  - a gorgeous blue with a slight green teal feel to it. Dyed at half strength (over the regular recipe) the natural heathering of the base is allowed to shine through.

2 dye lots (7 of one dyelot and 1 of the other)

8 ply, double knit. 100g = 212 metres

Masala double knit DK (8 ply0 yarn: 60% sw merino, 20% silk and 20% yak. It’s beautifully soft and smooth but with a nice firm ply - just a pleasure to knit with. 

Masala 8 is my new 8 ply yarn - 60% superwash merino and 20% silk, and 20% yak. It has a nice firm ply made up of 4 plies.

Hand wash in luke warm water to ensure longevity of the dyes.
