2025 August colour of the Month - Dyed to order - Oysters on the Bay

Oysters on the Bay is a serene, coastal-inspired colourway that captures the soft, shifting palette of oyster shells resting on a quiet shoreline. Muted greys form the base, gently layered with touches of silvery lavender, pale mauve, and the faintest hint of blue-green—like sea-glass glimpsed beneath the water. There are subtle tonal shifts throughout, evoking the natural patina of shells polished by tide and time. It’s an elegant, understated colourway with a gentle lustre, perfect for those who love a refined neutral with a sea-swept edge. Whether used alone or paired with bolder shades, it brings a sense of calm and coastal clarity. The perfect neutral.

Sencha: A soft merino and silk 2 ply yarn. 50% sw merino, 50% mulberry silk - 700m/100gms

Shui Yun: A luxurious fluffy to combine with other bases or make something dreamy by itself. 65% mohair, 35% silk - 50 gram skeins - 500m/50gms

Rosemary: An incredibly soft and fluffy two ply yarn but based on a suri alpaca instead of the mohair. Perfect for those with mohair sensitivities. 65% suri, 35% silk 400m/50 gms

3 Ply:

Ginseng 3: Pure silk luxury 3 ply 100% Mulberry Silk (plied) - 600m/100gms

Jasmine 3: A rich merino and silk 3 ply yarn - 50% sw merino, 50% Mulberry silk

4 ply:

Darjeeling: My sock yarn of choice - 80% sw merino, 20% nylon - 400m/100gms

Osmanthus: A beautiful singles option - 30% silk, 70% sw merino - 400m/100gms

Ginseng 4: Pure silk luxury 3 ply 100% Mulberry Silk (plied) - 600m/100gms

Jasmine 4 : A dreamy blend of non superwash merino and mulberry silk.  

50% sw.merino and 50% silk it runs at 400 metres to 100g. Shown in the photos :-) 

5 ply: 

Jasmine 5: The same dreamy blend of fibres as the 4 ply but here with a tighter twist and superwash merino.. perfect for all those 5 ply patterns that are so popular. Team with the mohair or the suri fluffs for perfect non pilling fabric. 50% sw merino, 50 % silk.

8 Ply:

Jasmine DK: Another weight of the beautiful Jasmine - 50% merino (non sw) 50% silk - 212m /100gms

Rosehip: Fluffy in a different way ... I love it! 90% suri Alpaca, 10% silk - 225m/100gms

Sage : Over the top fluffy mohair. 78% kid mohair, 13%merino, 9% nylon - 200m/100gms
