The Golden Green Gryphon – Mid Year Kit 2026

A palette drawn from flight and forest, The Golden Green Gryphon brings together burnished gold, olive green, and warm pecan in a colour story that feels both powerful and rich. Light catches across the shades—shifting from luminous ochre to deep moss and bronze—creating a sense of movement through every stitch.

There is depth here without heaviness. The colours flow from one to the next with quiet confidence, offering contrast that feels natural and layered rather than sharp. Worked together, they create a fabric that reads as rich, tonal, and full of life—like sunlight filtering through wings in motion.

This kit is designed for makers who love colour that does the work for you—balanced, thoughtful, and endlessly wearable. Perfect for shawls, garments, and pieces where colour and texture can unfold slowly across the fabric.

Available across three bases:

• Darjeeling (Merino/Nylon) - 4 ply or 8 ply
  Offered in both 4 ply/fingering (12 x 20g skeins) and DK weights (12 x 50g skeins), this is your reliable, versatile base. Smooth, durable, and perfect for projects where stitch definition and structure matter.

• Jasmine (Merino/Silk) - 4 ply or 8 ply
  Also available in 4 ply/fingering nsw (12 x 20g skeins) and DK sw (12 x 50g skeins), Jasmine brings a soft sheen and fluid drape. The silk lifts the gold tones and adds a gentle glow to the deeper greens.

• Shui Yun (Mohair/Silk) 12 x 20g skeins (2 ply)
  A soft, airy option with a delicate halo. This base softens the palette, blending the colours into a dreamy haze while still allowing the warmth and depth to shine through. Great for adding a blend to your other choice of base, or using alone in a more airey piece.

Each base offers its own interpretation of the Gryphon—crisp and defined, softly luminous, or gently diffused—giving you the freedom to choose how your colours take shape.

This kit will be delivered during the month of July. Each kit comes packaged in a themed box along with a short story about the mythical creature.

There is only one lot of postage to be paid on each shipment. These will weigh 250 or 600 grams (depending on your choice of yarn) and packaging. I have set the shipment to be during the month of July.
